After nearly 40 years as an activist and writer of protest songs Billy Bragg still has plenty to say about the world we live in. Politicised during the Thatcher years in Britain, in his long career Bragg has remained dedicated to the struggle for equality and accountability, inspiring generations of fans with his lyrics and folk/punk/rock music style. But his songs also have great heart and humour and for every protest song, there’s a love song. With planned tours cancelled in 2020, Bragg worked on a new album The Million Things That Never Happened (2021), proving he’s as relatable and relevant as he’s ever been.
