MONDAY - Adani, Coal Wars and the National Interest
Hailing from Perth, David Ritter is the Chief Executive Officer of Greenpeace Australia Pacific, campaigning for a green and peaceful future for all.
He has worked as a lawyer and an academic, before joining Greenpeace UK as a lead campaigner. In 2012 David returned to Australia, accepting the CEO position with a determination to make Greenpeace Australia Pacific's campaigning as effective as possible.
David often writes or speaks about issues that he cares deeply about. He recently released a book, "The Coal Truth: The Fight to Stop Adani, Defeat the Big Polluters and Reclaim our Democracy", and often publishes op-ed's in publications varying from The Guardian, Griffith Review, The Huffington Post to The Drum.
He is an Adjunct Professor in the Sydney Democracy Network at Sydney University, a research affiliate of the Sydney Environment Institute and an honorary fellow of the Law Faculty at the University of Western Australia.
