SUNDAY - The Magic of Mushrooms: A mycelial path to saving the planet.
Dr Alison Pouliot is an ecologist and environmental photographer, and an honorary fellow at the Australian National University. She is especially interested in lesser known lifeforms, particularly the fungal and the spineless. Alison has presented over three hundred fungus seminars across twelve countries to advocate the vital importance of fungi in ecosystem resilience.
Alison most enjoys getting down in the dirt with people from all walks of life, to help them understand fungi in the bigger context of the pressing environmental issues we face today. Her recent book The Allure of Fungi documents a forgotten corner of the natural world that is both beguiling and fundamental to life.
