General
WOMADelaide 2021 will take place at King Rodney Park / Ityamai-itpina - named after one of the main Kaurna Elders known to early colonists - and provides a spectacular arena ringed with beautiful old-growth South Australian Blue Gums and Pepper Trees. The park is an easy walking distance from the Adelaide CBD and is surrounded by a series of shady groves to house our stalls and bars.
King Rodney Park / Ityamai-itpina is bordered by Wakefield Road, East Terrace, Bartels Road and Dequetteville Terrace. The easiest way to get to the event space is by walking, riding, or catching public transport from the CBD or surrounding areas.
View the event location on Google Maps HERE.
Adelaide Metro is operating an additional loop bus service to transport passengers to and from King Rodney Park during WOMADelaide. Please see stops and route info here.

At The Festival
Your reserved seat will be situated within Zone A, B or C in the arena. Each zone will contain toilets, food and drink vendors, licensed bars and other event infrastructure. It is encouraged that you use the amenities from your corresponding zone.
Seats are provided by WOMADelaide and you will not be required to bring your own.
No. Seats have been positioned in accordance with our COVID Management Plan and are required to stay in their position.
Seating is allocated to accommodate adequate spacing in each row and considering those in the rows in front and behind you. For that reason, you must sit in the seat assigned to you by your ticket. We encourage you to stay seated unless using the provided facilities or purchasing food and drinks.
If you choose to dance, this is ok, provided you remain at all times in front of your allocated seat. This is a key requirement of our SA Health approved management plan.
As always, we ask that you remain respectful of the other ticket holders around you.
Yes, but they will need a ticket.
Given the current SA Health imposed limitations on capacity and contact tracing, every patron entering the venue will require a ticket. Children under the age of 18 can purchase a “concession” type ticket. All children are required to sit with their guardian in a paid seat for the duration of the performance.
Prams and pushers are not permitted inside the venue. They can be left at the bike parks (bring a lock) before entering.
WOMADelaide is a SMOKE FREE event and this includes E-cigarettes. This is in keeping with the South Australian Government health regulations that ban smoking from all outdoor dining areas. Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking zones – all other areas of the Park are SMOKE FREE (including E-cigarettes). Cigarettes are not sold at WOMADelaide.
If you have any suggestions or comments, please write to us at info@womadelaide.com.au. During the festival itself, our friendly front of house staff will be able to direct any enquiries.
Please see information on our COVID-19 page here.
No pass-outs are permitted. Please ensure you bring everything you need with you for the duration of the event.
