Townsville’s award-winning contemporary dance company will join forces with 100 volunteer drummers from Adelaide* for NOISE, thumping out a scintillating live score in a catchy, powerful and thunderous work of epic proportions. A spectacular, upbeat celebration of community that will connect deeply with everyone, the 100-strong battery of drums will accompany six Dancenorth performers, to a score by Costa Hagiaglou.
Terrain: Join Dancenorth on a gentle movement progression to energize the body and enliven the spirit. Participants will be invited to explore their immense capacity for physical and sensorial experience; escaping all things sedentary and embracing movement that will strengthen them and tap into our natural physical and biological state. Together with Dancenorth’s lead artists, the audience will move with the wind and respond to the sky, gathering energy and insight from the environment.
