ARIA-nominated Mama Kin and producer Tommy Spender have been friends for around 17 years, finally combining their collective talents into a joyous sound of brooding guitars, primal drums and howling harmonies. Backed at WOMADelaide by 24-strong local choir, Gospo Collective, Mama Kin Spender is a new sonic force to be reckoned with.
Workshop
Do you love singing? Have you always wanted to sing with a choir? Would you like to experience singing in harmony? Singing with others is incredible for lifting the spirits; a powerful way to connect and let your voice be part of something larger than yourself. Led by Choir Director Virginia Bott, alongside Mama Kin Spender and Adelaide’s very won Gospo Collective, in this workshop you'll learn a song from the latest MKS album Golden Magnetic and become a part of the choral force that makes their songs especially unique.
