Eva Quartet

The Eva Quartet is part of the Grammy Award winning all-female choir, Le Mystere des Voix Bulgares, whose otherworldly harmonies broke musical boundaries the world over in the late Eighties. The Quartet’s gift is to be able to blend their heavenly voices to become a single entity, with a repertoire that brings to life old Bulgarian music and church hymns.

Workshop

In this workshop, Eva Quartet will present the vocal traditions of Bulgarian song. The Bulgarian music tradition is one of the richest in the world, with more than 300 thousand songs kept in the National Library in Sofia. This "wealth" is also very versatile; almost every village has its own musical specificity and language. The audience will have the opportunity to discover this tradition and join Eva Quartet in their musical process. Together with some of the best Bulgarian voices in the world, the audience will form part of a ‘worldly choir’, and immerse themselves in the depths of Bulgarian music.
