Korean tradition collides with modern hardcore in Jambinai, a tough sounding post-rock/world music hybrid from Seoul. Guitarist and piri (oboe) player Ilwoo Lee, Bomi Kim on haegum (a fiddle-like instrument), and Eun Youg Sim on geomungo (zither) combine mesmerising sounds from the past with folk, metal and a crunching electronic rhythm section.
