Journey to the expansive flood plains and towering paperbark forests of Djiliwirri as Director Joe Gumbula explores the sacred underpinnings of the Gupapuyŋu Dancers' traditional repertoire. Learn more about the specific manikay-bunggul (song-dance) items presented at WOMADelaide, and how manikay (song), bunggul (dance), yidaki (didjeridu) and miny'tji (design) are drawn together in the Yolŋu tradition of NE Arnhem Land to produce exhilarating ceremonial expressions of the eternal. Join the Gupapuyŋu Dancers in this unique opportunity to hear a manikay series explained as it is sung and as they teach you how to dance in the bunggul tradition to the rhythm of the bilma (sticks) and yidaki (didjeridu). Workshop participants should come prepared to dance!

The Golden Pride Children's Choir is still raising funds to come to Australia to perform in Perth, at WOMADelaide, and in Melbourne. The Choir is made up of 42 teenagers from three rural villages in Tanzania and featured in "From Rags to Rhapsody", an inspirational documentary that recently screened on Australian TV .
