Play Song
World roots music is fused in rare performance style by Mihirangi, who instantaneously creates her band sound before an audience by using a loop pedal to layer dense aural textures of her own vocal sounds - from fat bass lines to intricately layered harmonies, rhythmic ska chops, sensuous riffs and beat-boxing - that she accompanies with percussion, guitar and traditional Maori instruments.
