Some of the most intimate and unforgettable moments at WOMADelaide happen on the smaller stages, when the artists are able to share their stories, explain the power of their instruments - be it a voice or a drum - and involve the audience directly. The festival's vibrant workshops are free to everyone in the Park and are a combination of explanation, performance and interaction.

Join our visiting artists for a series of dynamic yet intimate music, vocal, dance and drumming workshops across the weekend. The workshops are free, open to all ages, and feature a combination of performance, explanation and demonstration. The exact workshop times will be confirmed closer to the WOMADelaide weekend.

An international WOMADelaide artist will lead two fantastic workshops for school students on 3 March at the Max Green Hall at Gilles Street Primary School in Adelaide city.

Primary School Workshop 10:30-11:30am
High School Workshop 12:30-1:30pm
cost $7/$4 (disadvantaged schools) per student incl GST.

The capacity is approx 200 students per workshop and 40 places will be reserved at each workshop for disadvantaged schools. To register their interest, teachers can email apadmin@artsprojects.com.au putting 'schools workshops' in the subject line. Teachers will be sent final details with a booking form after 13 January 2005.
