WOMADelaide is extremely family friendly. Many of you may have grown up with WOMADelaide, and we love seeing the next generations of tiny dancers appearing every year. Read on for information on how to maximise your family fun at WOMADelaide!
Tickets
Children 12 and Under
Children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult to WOMADelaide! There is no limit on the number of children under 12 an adult can bring in and they do not need a ticket in advance. Children must enter with a responsible adult and unaccompanied children will not gain access.
*Please ensure that you apply a kids wristband upon entry, available at the box office or just inside the gate. Further details below.
Youth
A discounted Youth Pass price is offered to patrons aged between 13 - 17.
Please note that proof of age may be required to gain entry and that it is a condition of the event Liquor License that after Midnight all people under the age of 18 must in the company and supervision of an adult.
Minors are not permitted to enter the bars even if they are with a parent or responsible adult. Anyone who is considering being the nominated adult should consider this responsibility carefully as they will not be able to enter bars or licensed areas with minors. Proof of age ID is required when collecting a youth wristband - age must be under 18 on the last day of the festival.
Child Wristbands / Safety
Available at the Info Booth, KidZone and the Hackney and Frome Road entrances. Parents or guardians must wristband their children and mark them with a responsible adult’s name and mobile number.
Caregivers should arrange with children to meet at the Info Booth if they get separated. If a lost child arrives at the Info Booth, WOMADelaide staff will try to contact the number on the wristband. If unsuccessful, they will contact the Emergency Operations Centre.
Lost Children / Missing Persons
WOMADelaide follows a strict Lost Child/Missing Persons procedure. All lost children/persons are taken to the Info Booth. Parents/Guardians, please report a missing child/person at the Info Booth.
KidZone
We have an entire area dedicated to our little humans! A world of fun awaits in the KidZone with daily activities programmed specially for kids. Immersive activities, science discoveries, story telling, dress-ups, face painting, bouncy things and much more!
You are more than welcome to bring prams or strollers and baby changing facilities can be found in the KidZone as well as next to the Plane Tree Drive toilet block.
KidZone is much more than just a place to keep the kids happy. It’s a destination where thousands of grown-ups began their WOMAD love affair and a place where a new generation of lifelong WOmemories begin.
ABC Kids Listen Zone
ABC KIDS listen will host a mask making and kids dance floor space at our ABC KIDS Listen Zone from 12pm on Saturday March 9 and Sunday March 10. It’s a crafty dance party for the whole family!

Stratco Parents Room
Thanks to Stratco, parents with babies and toddlers can enjoy a shaded, comfortable and discrete Parenting Room. Located next to St John, nursing parents at WOMADelaide have access to feeding chairs, baby changing facilities, a microwave and more.
Child Minding
Please note that while WOMADelaide encourages you to bring your children, we do not offer any child minding services. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The Stratco Parents Room is located between Stage 2 and the Foundation Stage for access to baby change facilities, a microwave, feeding chairs and shade.
Disposable Nappies
Please note that disposable nappies are one of the greatest contaminants of our waste streams, so please be mindful of our zero waste-to-landfill targets and if you are using disposable nappies, we ask that you remove them from the park with you when you leave. If you are unable to do this, PLEASE utilise the clearly marked dedicated Nappy Disposal Bins located at the change stations and around Botanic Park!
