Full 2015 Planet Talks Program Announced

REVEALED - FULL PLANET TALKS PROGRAM

The full 2015 Planet Talks Program has been revealed with session times, panel topics and featured speakers all now up on the WOMADelaide website.

A stimulating collection of six panel sessions and three hands-on workshops dealing with sustainability and the environment will see sixteen speakers from around the world assembled in WOMADelaide’s Speakers Corner for a thrilling meeting of the minds. International guests include US living-legend Oceanographer Sylvia Earle, author and celebrated seed democracy activist Vandana Shiva and renowned environmental communicator Simran Sethi (pictured), plus a host of fascinating Australians such as Andrew Denton, Bob Brown, Tim Jarvis and Hannah Gadsby.

INTRODUCING - PLANET TALKS WORKSHOPS

Running alongside the Planet Talks discussion panels this year will be the brand new addition of thePlanet Talks Workshops. Featuring a series of three hands-on workshops each day day of the Planet Talks program, the workshops will investigate issues of sustainability around the home and address the three themes of; "How sustainable is your diet" (w/ Simon Bryant, pictured), "How to create an amazing outdoor space," and "Eco-Homes: Reducing waste, saving water, energy, money and the earth."

The Planet Talks Workshops are an exciting new addition for 2015!

Science in the Pub

Attention fans of thinking AND drinking in Adelaide. The Planet Talks and Science in the Pub Adelaide have teamed up to bring you a special SciPub event at the Brunswick Hotel, this Friday 06 Feb, titled “Sustaining Life: can humans, wildlife and agriculture coexist?” Entry is totally FREE so head along to stimulate your brain with some of our 2015 Planet Talks speakers PLUS get a chance to win a stack of WOMADelaide and Adelaide Fringe tickets on the night.

The only place in Adelaide you'll be able to experience Architects of Air's amazing Exxopolis is at WOMADelaide 2015! This incredible structural art installation known as a luminarium will reside exclusively within the WOMADelaide park for the duration of the festival. Exxopolis will be open from gates until sun-down each day for you to explore and marvel at the beauty of the light and colour concealed within.
