It is with heavy hearts that we at WOMADelaide hear of the passing of one of Australia's most loved musicians and singers, Jimmy Little, after a long illness.

Little performed at WOMADelaide in 2001, the same year he recorded his album Resonate which included songs written for him by other Australian greats such as Nick Cave and Paul Kelly.

It is not only his amazing music that will be remembered but his gentle nature.

RIP Jimmy Little.
