WHITIREIA PERFORMING ARTS
Whitireia will present a Maori and Polynesian performance-workshop - a demonstration of the powerful dances of New Zealand's Maori, Samoa and the Cook Islands. Artistic Director Tuaine Robati will talk the audience through the process, teaching Maori poi, haka, action-song and dance. Samoa action-song, slap-dance and sas and Cook Islands action-song and drum-dance.
