SIDESTEPPER (Colombia/UK)
What began as a solo studio project in 1996 for the UK’s Richard Blair soon grew into a production and writing duo with Colombian songwriter Ivan Benavides, and then a seven-piece band. Sidestepper takes a forceful new line in dance music, uniting electronic trance with salsa, Colombian rhythms and pulsing beats.
