Water & Toilets

The men’s urinals at WOMADelaide use the Desert Cube Waterless Urinal System, which are high-tech water-saving cubes that cut water use by up to 90%  ie there is little or no flushing.
The cubes keep the urinals clean and hygienic without the need for water. This saves a great deal of water over the course of the three days of the festival.
All toilets use recycled toilet paper.

Free bike parking and shuttle bus

WOMADelaide encourages patrons attending the event to ride a bike or use public transport. The festival offers two bike parks at each of the main entrances to accommodate more than 700 bikes.
With the assistance of the Department of Transport, Energy and Infrastructure, the festival also operates a free shuttle bus that services the city and North Adelaide and drops passengers off right in front of Botanic Park.
The bus timetable will be available online in February.

Power

All of WOMADelaide's mains power will be 100% accredited GreenPower through Origin Energy. This means that for all of the mains power used at WOMADelaide that amount will be purchased from an accredited renewable source and fed back into the national power grid.
