Entry
is via gates on Hackney Road (just north of the tropical conservatory)
and Frome Road (Victoria Drive intersection). Please note that pre-purchased
tickets bought online or by phone can only be collected from the
Hackney Road entrance.
Glass containers, alcohol, fires and dogs are NOT permitted. No
unauthorised busking/performances or collecting/fundraising. Low
chairs only may be used in front of stages; standard height chairs
must be located the back of the audience.
The use of recording, video or photography equipment record artists
in performance is strictly forbidden. Cameras are permitted for
personal use only.
A host
of colourful and brilliant roving artists will burst onto the Park;
Extra Bimbo (Aust), a trio of gorgeous gals and
blow-up pools; Madame Lark (Aust), the mistress
of delightful bird calls and saw-playing; Cocoloco
(UK), presenting an array of kooky characters; PopEyed
(Aust), two astounding acrobatic strongmen; Born in a Taxi
(Aust) presenting their Angels and Ms Penelope and Her Pet Lizards;
and the Wandering Juggling Wizard (aka Philiipe
the Juggler, France/Aust), with his incredible glow-in-thedark juggling
balls.

The weekend
features a program of free on-site workshops with visiting artists.
A combination of explanation, demonstration/performance and interaction,
the workshops are open to everyone. See the 2004 Souvenir Event

WOMADelaide,
in association with the Adelaide Festival Centre Education Program
and supported by United Water, will offer a fantastic workshop for
highschools on the morning of March 5 in the city, with visiting
artists Sotho Sounds. Primary schools workshop sold out. Teachers
who are interested in their students taking part can register for
updates by emailing apadmin@artsprojects.com.au
putting 'schools workshops' in the header.
Just look
for the giant inflatable rainbow arch! This program for 5-16 year
olds features crafts, music and dance workshops by local and visiting
artists. KidZone also features a bouncy castle, ball pit and Evelyn
Roth’s Nylon Zoo – huge and colourful inflatable animals
with storytelling inside and dress-ups for the littlies.
Please note KidZone is not a creche and parents must accompany children
or wait for them at the nearby Lost Parents’ Tent.
PRESENTED IN ASSOCIATION WITH CARCLEW YOUTH ARTS CENTRE
A tranquil
oasis in which to relax, reflect and receive the hospitality of
recent refugees and their diverse cultures. Enjoy chai and fruit
by donation, arts, crafts and interactive projects and bring a button
to make your mark on the community mural. Presented in association
with the Australian Refugee Association and +addvision
A relaxing
area in the Park for healing; shiatsu, reiki, meditation, yoga and
more.
Join renowned
Queensland musician, Linsey Pollak, for regular workshops in how
to play these spectacular handmade marimbas, or just turn up and
have a bash in your own style!
