9Bach

Lisa Jên’s ethereal vocals sung in Welsh and 9Bach’s exquisite arrangements - fusing traditional harp, dulcimer and guitar with heady bass - saw them take out the BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for Best Album in 2015. With three albums under their belt, 9Bach’s moody, otherworldly sound has also seen them win a big fan in Peter Gabriel.

Joining 9Bach for part of their performance will be guest vocalists Dr Lou Bennett and Shellie Morris, who both performed at WOMADelaide 2008 with the Black Arm Band, and who collaborated with 9Bach on the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad piece Mamiath - Mother Tongue.
