Tenzin Choegyal & the Tashi Lhunpo Monks of Tibet (Tibet/Australia)
Brisbane-based Tibetan singer Tenzin Choegyal and four monks from the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery of the Panchen Lama will conduct a variety of performances and rituals at WOMADelaide; a solo concert by Tenzin, a concert by Tenzin and the monks featuring multi-phonic chanting, and guided meditations, teaching Tibetan folk songs, sand art workshops, and creating a sand mandala at their marquee on site.
