What to Bring

Your Festival Wristband

Your RFID wristband is uniquely identified, and allows you to scan in and out of the festival each day. Please remember that your wristband is non-transferable, meaning that you cannot share your multi-day pass, and it is void if removed. We recommend that you note down, or take a photo, of the numbers on your wristband when you receive them, which will help us to rectify any issues if they arise.

Additionally, all bars* at WOMADelaide 2018 will be cashless. PayWave, PayPass, and EFTPOS are accepted as usual, but you will also be able to use your RFID Wristband (or lanyard credential) to purchase beverages if you wish. Read our wristband activation and top-up information HERE. As above, we recommend you note the numbers printed on your wristband or lanyard credential. These will be necessary to process refunds of any unused credit greater than $5 after the festival.

*Other festival services (market and food stalls, Jamface by Poh, WoShop etc.) will still receive cash and/or card payments.

Be Sun Smart

A hat, flower crown, small parasol or literally anything that keeps you in the shade is highly recommended.

Sunnies - keep your eyes on the stage, not hidden behind your shielding hand.

Sunscreen - we suggest that you bring your own handy SPF 40+, but in case you forget, Channel 9 will be supplying a sunscreen station just outside TerryWhite Chemmart.

Dress Clever

You're going to be on your feet  a lot, so make sure you brings shoes for walking, dancing, and keeping cosy at night.

Pack some warm clothes to wear in the evening. If you forget, we've got some super snug hoodies in the WoShop for you.

You probably won't need it, but still check the weather before you head to see if you need a rain jacket... Just in case.

The Important Stuff

Medication (especially for asthma or hay fever as the park can get dusty). Head to TerryWhite Chemmart between Stage 2 and Foundation Stage for professional advice.

Something to sit on, whether that be a rug, a low-standing chair or one of our WOMADelaide beach-style chairs.

Valid ID - especially if you're entering as a concession ticket holder.

Bug repellent if the mozzies love you.

Ear protection - we also have some ear muff's in the WoShop for bubs and kids.

Cash - Although all bars at WOMADelaide 2018 are going cashless; market stalls, Jamface by Poh and the WoShop will still be taking paper money. Bars will also be accepting PayWave, PayPass, and EFTPOS for transactions.

What Not to Bring

Tents are a no-no. We allow small sunshades, set up well away from high-traffic areas in case you want somewhere to retreat to in between actvities.

Please do not bring in any glass (including perfume bottles, containers, jars etc. etc.)

No BYO alcohol of any kind

Animals (Guide Dogs are okay of course!)

Unauthorised tape recorders, professional film and video equipment are not allowed onsite, including drones. We welcome cameras for personal use however to grab all those happy snaps.

And finally -

Bring all your best friends, smiles, curiosity, and respect for your fellow music lovers, and we look forward to another magical 4 days with you in the beautiful surrounds of Botanic Park.
