The 2018 program featured standout performances from more than 70 groups from 25 countries, including truly mesmerising shows on the Foundation Stage by Anoushka Shankar on opening night, the brilliance of American jazz saxophonist and composer Kamasi Washington on Sunday and a powerhouse finale from Thievery Corporation.

Frome Park hosted 40 extraordinary musicians from Rajasthan on a custom built stage for four spectacular performances after dark of The Manganiyar Seduction.

The resounding highlight of the festival, Gratte Ciel’s Place des Anges, delighted nightly with a magical aerial spectacular, as the visiting ‘angels’ danced and frolicked in the moonlight, illuminating the skies above the treetops.

“Mortgage the house. Sell your possessions. Do anything that makes it possible to see Place des Anges from French geniuses Gratte Ciel" - The Advertiser

“It was everything that WOMADelaide is about – an ambitious and spectacular experience that challenges your perceptions of what music can be" - Double J
