WOMADelaide is presented in association with the Government of South Australia through Events South Australia. A massive thank you goes to our Presenting Partner Internode, to our Key Partners Coopers, Yalumba and Hills Cider and our Education Partner the University of South Australia. Many thanks also to our Partners 891 ABC, Greening Australia, Kojo Group, Adelaide City Council, Mount Franklin, Subaru, Weathersafe and Virgin Australia and our Media Partners Channel 9, The Advertiser, 5 Double A and Val Morgan Cinema Network.
We hope to see you all again next year, when WOMADelaide returns from 11 - 14 March, 2016!
STRATCO HALF-PRICE PLANT CLEARANCE
Tomorrow, Friday 13 March, head to Botanic Park between 10am - 1pm to pick up a bargain on potted plants, where a huge range of plants provided by Stratco to dress our installation, stall and backstage areas will be on sale. There are hundreds of plants, from small potted natives, to developed bushes and bamboos (as pictured above), every plant is half price and everything must go! Look for the sale area towards the northern side of Plane Tree drive.
The first round of photos are now up for you to relive some of the magical moments from this year's festival. Head to our facebook to page to check them out now!
We'd like to send a big thank you once again to all our patrons for helping us care for Botanic Park during the festival. With the help of Adelaide Green Clean, WOMADelaide aims to be a "zero waste to landfill" festival, with all waste recycled or composted. The above photo shows the comparitive amounts of waste generated (minus cans and bottles). After Day 1 of WOMADelaide, the photo on the Left shows a truck almost full of entirely compostable materials and, on the Right, the respective waste to alternative fuels processing. Adelaide Green Clean actually sorts all waste by hand ON-SITE to ensure it goes to the correct waste stream and the composted material is then returned to Botanic Park for use.
