  Systa BB
Systa BB - Melbourne based DJ Systa BB has forged a reputation in global dance through regular club appearances and community events such as the South African Independence Day Celebrations 1997, as well as introducing this music to newer audiences at  techno events such as Earthcore 1998, Psycoroboree 1998 and the Big Beat Percussion Festival 1997 and 1998.  She was asked to DJ at the 1999 Big Day Out.  Systa BB began DJing at the now much imitated club `Global Warming'.  Systa BB has been involved with WOMADELAIDE since its beginning, as an eager audience participant, interviewer of artists and as was the case in February 1999, headlined with Sam g at WoZone, the festival club.  Presenter of `Planetary Chaos' on Melbourne based community radio station 3PBS FM, she has cemented a style that mixes traditional and contemporary world music rhythms with new big beat and dance styles, searching for the roots of contemporary dance music. In demand as MC for the Victorian Arts Centre, and such international artists as Angelique Kidjo and Salif Keita, Systa BB has a reputation for `breaking down the music' and presenting it in such a way that audiences
feel they are part of the performance.  She wrote for the Sunday Herald Sun on world music and was asked to cover the WOMAD journey from Perth to Adelaide in 1996.  In September 2000, Systa BB DJ'd with Sam g at tie 2000 Olympic Arts Festival event `Hemispheres'.  Systa BB has achieved a reputation as a `global beats' enthusiast and has promoted the sounds of `world/global' music to large audiences of enthusiastic listeners.
