  Jimmy Little (Australia)
Jimmy has been performing in Australia for over forty years, his first hit record was in 1964, the same year in which he was named Pop Star of the Year. He has recorded over thirty albums and appeared in several high profile movies with directors such as Wim Wenders and Tracey Moffatt.  In 1989 Jimmy was named Aboriginal of the Year and was inducted into The Country Music Roll of Renown in 1994.  For his most recent album ‘Messenger’ Jimmy won the ARIA Adult Contemporary Album of the Year in 1999, and was also inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame that year. Jimmy has just returned from his first trip to the Northern Hemisphere where he appeared at several WOMAD concerts including Hanover, the Globe Theatre London, Rivermead Reading and Marymoor Park, Seattle USA and Fort Canning Park, Singapore.
