Eclectic, unexpected and truly innovative, Typhoon stretches the boundaries of a contemporary music ensemble. Brian Ritchie (The Violent Femmes) and concert pianist Michael Kieran Harvey team with China’s Xie Yu Dan (pipa), Ma Jia Jun (erhu) and animator Zeng Yi Gang, to explore classical and contemporary compositions in concert while simultaneously screening Zeng’s animations.
