Rachid Taha and Tim Flannery added to WOMADelaide program

17 January 2014

WOMADelaide has added another incredible musician to the 2014 program - the sonically adventurous Algerian singer, Rachid Taha.

With influences ranging from rock, electronic, and punk to raï - Algeria's indigenous pop music – and songs spiked with strong political messages, Taha has a growling, Clash-esque stage presence and a “rock ‘n’ raï ” attitude!

Environmentalist and climate change activist Tim Flannery has also been added to the list of speakers in the The Planet Talks. Flannery is the Co-founder and Chair of the Copenhagen Climate Council and was previously the Commissioner of the Australian Climate Commission.
