The Quartet's ambitious 2005 album Maria T embraced the music of iconic Romanian singer Maria Tanase by interweaving components of her original recordings. On stage, this startling pastiche was ingeniously presented in collaboration with Austrian video artist Klaus Obermaier, and this ground-breaking multimedia performance is being presented in a one-off show at WOMADelaide.
