Violinist Warren Ellis, guitarist Mick Turner and drummer Jim White are a raw instrumental tapestry of sparseness, melancholia, tension and menace. Ironically, as Dirty Three’s acclaim has risen, they have performed and recorded with PJ Harvey, Marianne Faithful and Nick Cave and many more, yet they rarely come together for their own shows.
