WOMADelaide four-day format to continue!

WOMADelaide organisers have announced that the four-day festival format, introduced this year as a one-off to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Adelaide Festival, is here to stay.
Director Ian Scobie said the resounding success of the 2010 experiment, and particularly the overwhelming support from the audience, 50% of which travels from outside South Australia specifically for the festival, encouraged the decision to make the four-day format a permanent fixture.
This means an extra day every year to embrace the unique program of music, arts and dance that WOMADelaide has to offer. Plans are already well underway to bring a stellar line up from across the globe to Botanic Park in 2011.
WOMADelaide 2011 will be held from Friday 11 to Monday 14 March and the line up is expected to be announced in November.
