  Opsimath
Opsimath deconstruct the myth that only machines can make techno. For WoZone the trio will be joined by a bass player and perform with their seriously wired set-up creating chunky machine music in realtime.  Deep percussive future funk without a sequencer.  Opsimath's performance highlights include residencies in Melbourne at "Virus" (Punters Club) and at the Laundry, Earthcore (three times), Club 161, Teriyaki Anarki Saki, Revolver, the Empress of India, Body Slam, Seacore, Indyfever, fukstep, Bar Open, the Evelyn, the Espy and the Brunswick Street Festival.  Interstate performances include appearances at Club Kooky, Frigid, the Newtown Festival (Sydney), Rhino Room and the Festival and Fringe 2000 (Adelaide) as well ass the Bellingen Global Carnival and the Glenworth Valley Festival.  Opsimath are - Glen Christiansen (samples, junk percussion, found objects) who also plays with Hik Step alongside members of Pan and High Pass Filter; Mik La Vage (theremin, micromodular, digital mixing console, sound manipulations and samples) who also performs with Ihos Opera, Opera Somatica, the Australian Opera, Nagoya Dance Co, Ping! and The Bird; Gef Senz (electronic
percussion and samples, hand drums and cymbal sandwiches) who also plays with Lothlorien, Ping!, Signal to Noise, Akin, Mud, Abi Tucker and is the man behind the Green Magma multi-arts/media events.
