| Over the last three years
Karma
County have established themselves as the foremost purveyors of fine
music - the tuneful harbingers of excellence and sweet emotion. With their
latest album, "Into the Land of Promise” this worthy tradition was taken
to new heights and firmly established Karma County as one of the brightest
lights in a sometimes darkly lit musical landscape. Karma County
have recorded two independent albums, “Last Stop Heavenly Heights” and
the follow-up “Olana”. “Into The Land of Promise” featuring the popular
single “Secret Country” with the backing vocals of Jimmy Little, was voted
Best Adult Contemporary Album at the recent ARIA Awards. Karma County
performed at Womadelaide 99, and were quickly picked-up to perform at Womad
festivals overseas in Germany, the UK and the US in 2000, plus performances
at the Rome Film Festival, Expo 2000 in Hanover, and the Globe Theatre
in London.
